Hamza Medicare offers a Fluoroscopy service: a digital imaging technique that takes real-time (live) moving images of a patient’s internal structures using X-rays. The fluoroscope is a flat table with a camera that pulls over the patient and creates a tunnel. The radiologist or technologist moves the camera up and down to best see the area being examined.

Patients may be given X-ray contrast or air to best show the area being studied. The image shows on a screen, and the room is dimmed so the images can be seen in more detail.

Emergency services are open and available 24/7, 7 days a week at Hamza Medicare. Our emergency department is well equipped with an adequate number of cardiac monitors and other important equipment. The Emergency Services department is a very high activity area of the hospital and so has senior consultants, physicians and trained staff present at all times.

A painless alternative to liver biopsy for evaluating the stage of liver fibrosis. The FibroScan® technique is used to quantify hepatic fibrosis in a totally non-invasive and painless manner, with no contra-indications for the patient.

A vital tool in the assessment of liver disease. Liver disease is increasing at one of the fastest rates of any disease process. Early diagnosis and intervention can lead to a substantial reduction in morbidity and mortality from all conditions that lead to cirrhosis. FibroScan® technology allows accurate assessment of liver fibrosis resulting from all chronic pathologies that cause damage to the liver, including metabolic syndrome and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, chronic viral hepatitis and excess alcohol intake.

A reliable diagnostic and prevention tool. In the early stages of liver disease symptoms are virtually non-existent, and liver function tests and conventional ultrasound have a poor predictive value in assessing fibrosis. The FibroScan is the ideal diagnostic tool for a hepatologist to accurately identify patients with significant liver disease, so treatment can be tailored to the individual’s need.

An indefinitely reproducible monitoring tool. With no restriction on the frequency of use, FibroScan® can monitor the progression, stagnation or regression of an individual’s liver disease and give an accurate quantitative measure of the success of treatments or lifestyle modification.

No inpatient stay is required. The FibroScan® examination is completely non-invasive, rapid and painless.

Gastroenterologists at Hamza Medicare specialize in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the digestive tract and liver. They diagnose and treat disorders of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver.

Hamza Medicare provides operating theatre facilities where surgical operations are carried out in an aseptic environment. Our general surgery department is made up of skilled and respected professionals who focus on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. They also deal with diseases involving the skin, breast, soft tissue, trauma, peripheral vascular surgery and hernias.
